Because the technology used to catch bluefin in the Mediterranean relies on rounding them up before they are old enough to breed, the method practically guarantees the destruction of a healthy breeding population in the wild… They’re exceptionally valuable: A single fish can sell for $175,000.

I guess fatty tuna is off the menu.

We gave up all meat, except seafood, several years ago. Sushi was the reason for the exception. It’s not hard to imagine a time in the near future when we’ll have to make due with avocado rolls.

Jason Fried on Why You Can’t Work at Work

This is a few days old, but it’s great. I can’t help but wonder if the work utopia he describes really exists.

I saw Jason speak at SXSW a few years ago and felt he had an idealistic arrogance to the way he talked. The reason it wasn’t disillusioning was that he had the confidence and track record to stand behind it.
